West Virginia University is seeking Landscape Workers to maintain campus grounds, lawns, plantings and exterior spaces. Roles involve operating equipment, following blueprints or instructions, and supporting events with landscape materials.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least one year of work experience in grounds-related roles.
• Grounds maintenance and lawn care experience in commercial/residential settings preferred.

Responsabilités

• Mow, seed, aerate lawns; trim and edge; water lawns and gardens; remove debris across grounds.
• Care for plants, shrubs and flowers; prepare beds for planting; take soil samples; report pests; spread topsoil and amendments.
• Interpret blueprints or follow verbal/written instructions for landscape maintenance and construction.
• Operate, service and maintain grounds equipment and vehicles.
• Use hand and power tools for landscape tasks.
• Assist in planting and removing trees; set up plant material for events.
• Remove snow and spread de-icers using equipment; respond to emergencies when needed.
