Job summary

West Virginia University invites applications for the Lead Campus Service Worker in Facilities & Services. The role oversees interior cleaning of buildings and exterior grounds, assigns tasks, and ensures safety standards while supporting shift flexibility including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Six months of experience in commercial cleaning, floor maintenance and carpet cleaning.
• Experience operating commercial custodial equipment.
• Experience training others and supervisory skills preferred.
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the interior appearance of buildings, including classrooms and offices, and exterior grounds as required.
• Operate floor care equipment and disinfect bathrooms/kitchens; replenish supplies.
• Assist management in supervising campus service workers and training new staff; submit work orders.
