Job summary

West Virginia University is seeking a Campus Service Worker / Laborer for Roads and Grounds to support WVU’s campuses, regional campuses, and statewide events. You will relocate offices, move furniture, perform grounds maintenance, operate light equipment, and assist with snow removal.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to read and follow safety instructions, and willingness to overtime for events. WVU offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive work-life balance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform labor activities and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to read and write in English and perform basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Relocate offices and classrooms within buildings and campus areas.
• Move, set up, and arrange furniture, equipment, and displays for events.
• Operate light equipment and assist with snow removal and general grounds maintenance.
• Assist with landscape construction, planting, and bed maintenance.
• Support academics, events, and campus operations with flexible hours and overtime as needed.
