Job summary

Upper Crust Food Service seeks a classically trained Kitchen Assistant to support the culinary team. You will help maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen, stock supplies, and assist with efficient service in a fast-paced environment.

Based on a strong passion for food and teamwork, you will contribute to a positive atmosphere with coworkers and customers. Training and background checks may be required, along with safety certifications.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Familiar with operating a commercial dishwasher.
• Pass a background check may be required.
• High school or vocational coursework in kitchen basics preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
• Wash kitchen utensils, equipment and dishes by hand or machine.
• Put away clean dishes, glassware, and utensils in serving stations.
• Stock supplies in serving stations, refrigerators, and salad bars.
• Sweep and wash floors to keep areas safe.
• Assist in unloading and putting away deliveries.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers and customers.
• Communicate with management via calls, emails, and texts.
