Living Hope Church in Merrillville, IN is seeking a Campus Kid’s Minister to supervise and execute all aspects of Kid’s Ministry, including weekly worship, events, and summer camps.

You will empower volunteers, connect with families, and extend the ministry into local schools as opportunities arise, while modeling biblical leadership and fostering a fun, faith-centered environment for children and their families.

Qualifications

• Solid personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Leadership as described in Scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-16).
• Education: Bible college or seminary preferred.
• Experience: 2+ years in vocational ministry; part-time or full-time considered.
• Agrees with Living Hope Church statements of faith and background check.
• Licensed or willing to pursue licensing/ordination with related bodies.

Responsabilités

• Execute a committed kids ministry plan with curriculum and events led by volunteers weekly.
• Create a meaningful, fun environment that invites ministry participation.
• Lay biblically centered faith foundations while presenting the Gospel appropriately.
• Coordinate with Youth/Young Adults ministries for a continuous discipleship path.
• Develop and lead Sunday and Wednesday kids worship services and programs.
• Coordinate/lead an annual kids’ camp during summer.
• Increase Living Hope’s presence in local schools to engage students.
• Pastor and equip Dream Team volunteers serving in kids.
• Provide kids ministry programming for church-wide events.
• Steward kids ministry budget effectively.
• Attend defined weekly meetings.

Campus Kid’s Minister Job Description:

Purpose:

The Campus Kid’s Minister of Living Hope Church supervises and executes all aspects of Kid’s Ministry, including weekly worship, specific events, and annual camps. The Campus Kid’s Minister is dedicated to reaching out to kids/families in the community, empowering leaders, and equipping/developing volunteers.As opportunities present themselves, the Campus Kid’s Minister should have an increased presence in the local schools, connecting with current and prospective students/families.

Essential Functions:

Kids-

• Execute a determined kid’s ministry plan with curriculum and events that will be executable with volunteers every week under the direction of Next Gen Pastor.
• Creating a meaningful and fun environment that kids are excited about and passionately invite their friends to.
• Intentionally laying a strong biblically centered base of faith for all children while consistently presenting the Gospel at an appropriate level.
• Working with Youth and Young Adults ministries on programming and transitions that will make a consistent discipleship plan for kids as they move on to the next phases of life.
• Developing and leading Sunday and Wednesday kids worship services and programs.
• Coordinating/Leading an annual kids’ camp experience during the summer months.
• Increasing Living Hope’s presence in local schools to connect with current and prospective students
• Pastor and equip Dream Team volunteers that serve in kids.
• Provide Kids’ Ministry programming for special church-wide events.
• Steward Kid’s Ministry monthly budget effectively.
• Attend defined weekly meetings.

Parents-

• Maintains clear communication with parents about content, child-specific issues, and events.
• Hosts parent meetings as needed.
• Facilitates an easy check-in and check-out process that communicates competency and security to parents.
• Work with other Living Hope team members to ensure the entire family is properly engaged and plugged into the culture and discipleship model.

Qualifications:

• Evidences a solid and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• This position holds pastoral authority; therefore, candidates should meet the requirements for leadership from Scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-16).
• Education: Associate’s degree or higher from a Bible college or seminary preferred.
• Experience: Preferred 2+ years in vocational ministry. Part-time and full-time experience will be considered.
• Agrees with the Statement of Faith of Living Hope Church and the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Assemblies of God.
• Agrees to a background check by our search team during the hiring process.
• Is licensed or agrees to pursue licensing/ordination with the Indiana District of the Assemblies of God or an approved independent organization that aligns with Living Hope Church’s statement of Faith.
