Responsibilities

• Lead the Kids Ministry carrying out the vision and direction.

• Plan and participate in weekly Real Life Kids gatherings.
• Build systems for welcoming guests and connecting families.
• Oversee Real Life Kids Events such as Camp and Quarterly Connect Events.
• Follow up with kids interested in baptism.
• Ensure effective and safe ministry areas in partnership with the Babies‑PreK Director.
• Develop a strong parent discipleship plan.
• Provide care to families, paying special attention to kids.

Position: Kids Minister/Pastor (Full-Time, Salary: Competitive, + Benefits) We envision a leader who is a shepherd of students and a developer of leaders, someone who is growing in their call to ministry, thrives in building teams, and faithfully carries out the vision of Next Gen Ministry within the broader mission of the church. This role exists to provide a discipleship‑rich, Jesus‑focused, safe, loving, and fun environment for kids in grades K‑5th. Our Kids Minister/Pastor will equip and empower parents, a leadership team and volunteers to effectively shepherd the ministry.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Kids Ministry to carry out the vision and direction set by the Next Gen Pastor
• Develop clean, safe, and fun environments for children to encounter and grow in Jesus Christ
• Work closely with the Next Gen Pastor to recruit, onboard, retain, and coach leaders and ministry volunteers
• Oversee all aspects of communication to parents & kids
• Lead, plan, prepare for, and participate in weekly Real Life Kids gatherings
• Build clear systems for welcoming guests, following up, and helping families get connected
• Oversee all aspects of Real Life Kids Events: Camp, Quarterly Connect Events, etc.
• Assist in following‑up with kids who are interested in baptism seeking to discover readiness & direct next steps
• Work closely with the Babies‑PreK Director to ensure ministry areas are effective, safe, and up to standards
• In partnership with and under the direction of the Next Gen Pastor, develop a strong parent discipleship plan equipping and empowering them to disciple their children
• Provide care to people at Real Life with special attention given to Kids & their families (Crisis Care, Hospital Care, Baptisms, etc.)
