Job summary

Madison County Schools Technology Department in Richmond, Kentucky seeks a Technology Student Worker to assist with installation, repair, alteration and maintenance of microcomputers, printers and related equipment; train district personnel in software operation; and support data terminals and network components.

Applicants must be enrolled in a college or university. The position is part-time (less than 20 hours per week) based on the student’s schedule, starting immediately.

Qualifications

• Experience with installing, repairing and maintaining computer equipment and peripherals.
• Ability to train staff in software operation and use of equipment.
• Familiarity with basic DOS commands, diagnostics and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain microcomputers, printers and related equipment.
• Train district personnel in use of microcomputers and software.
• Develop and maintain diagrams for local area networks and equipment.
