Job summary

Volunteer State Community College is seeking a Temporary- IT Technician Assistant to support employees and students at the VSCC-Livingston Center. The role involves assisting with workstation operations and computer labs across college campuses.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware/software, deploying images, and creating work orders, while communicating technical concepts to non-technical users and performing light printer maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with Microsoft applications and familiarity with Microsoft software.
• Excellent telephone, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support for students and employees for various technical issues, including hardware and software problems, email, and installation, relocation, maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair.
• Deploy computer images.
• Create and elevate work orders when issues cannot be resolved by the user.
• Perform light maintenance on printers.
