Job summary

The California State University, San Bernardino, College of Arts & Letters IT invites a Student Assistant to support faculty, staff, and students with technical issues across Mac and Windows labs. The role involves hardware replacement, image deployment, and routine maintenance across campus.

Work hours are set quarterly, with up to 20 hours weekly when possible. On-campus, in University Hall, this is an on-site, part-time temporary position for CSUSB students.

Qualifications

• Maintain a 2.0 GPA or greater per semester and cumulative.
• Students must be enrolled in at least halftime units at CSUSB (6 undergrad; 3 grad).
• International students must have full-time enrollment at CSUSB (12 undergrad; 6 grad).
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Payroll requires Social Security Card.

Responsibilities

• Taking phone calls and making appointments.
• Assisting Faculty/Staff with computer issues in person or remotely
• Resolving printer issues
• Replacing hardware and repairing/upgrading machines
• Maintaining Lab/Faculty/Staff computers (desktops/laptops/tablets)
• Updating operating systems/software
• Creating/updating FOG deployment images for labs
• Updating inventory system
• Following documentation procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills (Verbal and Written)
