Job summary

Volunteer State Community College, VSCC-Livingston Center, is seeking a Temporary IT Technician Assistant to support faculty and staff workstations and computer labs on campus. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, deploy computer images, create and escalate IT tickets, perform light printer maintenance, and translate technical concepts for non-technical users.

This is a part-time, on-site role at the Livingston Center, and candidates should be customer-focused and quick to learn new

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with Microsoft applications and strong familiarity with Microsoft software.
• Ability to learn new software.
• Excellent telephone, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT support for students and employees for various technical issues including minor hardware and software problems.
• Deploy computer images.
• Create and elevate work orders for IT personnel when issue cannot be resolved.
• Perform light maintenance on printers.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Other duties as assigned.
