Job summary

Eastern New Mexico University - Roswell is seeking a Computer Technician II to install, troubleshoot, and support campus computer systems and related hardware and software. The role includes wiring work, documenting workloads, and delivering prompt technical assistance to the campus community.

You will report to the IT Supervisor and collaborate with IT staff to maintain security, perform preventive maintenance, and train users as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Installs, tests, repairs, upgrades, implements, and documents hardware/software at an advanced level.
• Installs, troubleshoots, and relocates network/telecommunications equipment.
• Documents workloads and activities.
• Writes status reports and technical documentation.
• Assists users with operation of equipment.
• Assists with user training.
• Maintains and enforces security measures.
• Maintains knowledge of computer technologies.
• Adheres to standards and ensures quality in projects.
• Maintains a safe working environment.
• Provides IT support to offices to ensure data integrity.
