Job summary

Eastern New Mexico University is seeking a Network Specialist to maintain and enhance its wired and wireless network infrastructure across multiple campuses. You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and document network systems, contributing to reliability, security, and performance.

The role involves Cisco switching/routing, wireless networks, firewalls, VPNs, and on‑call response, with collaboration across ITS and campus departments to ensure secure, resilient services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, CS, Cybersecurity, Networking or related field and 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain CCNA within one year.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Cisco switches, routers, wireless APs, controllers.
• Monitor health and performance using enterprise monitoring systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex wired and wireless connectivity issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
