Job summary

Howard University seeks an IT Support Specialist to provide on-site assistance to students, faculty, and staff for software and hardware issues in the College of Pharmacy and Center of Excellence. You will maintain servers/workstations, support Echo360 and Canvas LMS, and manage classroom technology.

Responsibilities include daily on-site support, system checks, device configuration, training users, and documenting issues in the ticketing system, with a focus on reliable technology to enable

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• Two years’ experience in technical computer support and networking preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site IT support for students, faculty and staff.
• Maintain College of Pharmacy servers and workstations.
• Assist with Echo360 and Canvas LMS administration and training.
• Install, configure, and repair servers, hardware and peripherals.
• Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Develop work plans and ensure timely project completion.
