Job summary

The University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) seeks an Entry-level Instructional Technology Support Assistant to provide on-site IT helpdesk, classroom AV, and instructional technology support for the MD Program. You will assist faculty and students with PowerPoint, polling, video conferencing, and learning applications in designated campus spaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, information technology, educational technology, instructional design, or related field.
• Entry-level professional experience supporting instructional technology and classroom AV is preferred.
• Ability to work on-site in campus instructional spaces when scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily on-site support for lectures, labs, and instructional activities.
• Assists faculty and students with PowerPoint, Poll Everywhere, Zoom, and Teams usage.
• Loads, tests, and validates content before classes and examinations.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots hardware, software, and AV issues; escalates as needed.
• Provides training and just-in-time coaching on classroom technology and video conferencing tools.
• Maintains service records and coordinates with staff for room readiness and equipment replacement.
