Job summary

Victoria College seeks a part-time student worker to support the Information Booth in the Fall 2026 semester. The role enhances daily front-line customer service, welcomes students and visitors, and helps locate campus offices and resources within the new Student Success Center.

The Information Booth Worker provides friendly, accurate, and professional assistance, answers general questions, and serves as a welcoming campus presence in a high-traffic environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a minimum of 6 credit hours during Fall and Spring semesters and 3 credit hours during Summer.
• English proficiency.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in a high-traffic environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct.

Responsibilities

• Greets students, employees, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provides directions to classrooms, offices, and campus facilities.
• Answers general questions about Victoria College services, departments, and campus locations.
• Refers individuals to the appropriate office or staff member when specialized assistance is needed.
• Assists students with basic navigation of campus resources (e.g., Welcome Center, Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid).
• Maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming information booth area.
• Restocks brochures, maps, and informational materials as needed.
• Reports facility or safety concerns observed in the building to the appropriate department.
