Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a SSB Information Desk Student Assistant to provide welcoming customer service at the SSB. You will support daily desk operations, help with building inquiries, and assist the Building Management team.

Open to Work Study and Non-Work Study, with a focus on morning or evening shifts. Applicants must be a current UT Austin student, enrolled in at least six credits, and available for specified hours.

Qualifications

• Must be a current UT Austin student enrolled in at least six credits.
• Availability for morning and/or evening shifts as specified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner
• Direct visitors to offices, departments, or events inside SSB
• Answer incoming telephone lines and direct calls
• Maintain inventory of desk supplies and assist with events
• Work on special projects and other duties as assigned
