Job summary

Hamline University is seeking a Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of residential houses, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and move-in readiness. You will coordinate maintenance, inspections, and budgets while collaborating with Facilities Services, Residence Life, and vendors.

Responsibilities include managing repairs, preventive maintenance, move-in/out coordination, snow removal, and resident relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of experience in property management, facilities management, or building operations.
• Experience managing maintenance operations, repairs, and contractor services.
• Experience performing basic handyman repairs.
• Strong organizational, budgeting, and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to operate snow removal and basic maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of university-owned residential houses and serve as primary contact for maintenance requests and resident issues.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintain property files, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs with internal staff or contractors.
• Coordinate move-in/move-out activities and document damages and turnover readiness.
• Lead snow removal, grounds maintenance, and exterior upkeep.
• Manage vendor and contractor relationships, bids, work orders, and invoices.
• Develop and monitor annual operating and maintenance budgets and report to leadership.
• Provide responsive resident relations and exceptional customer service, with safety compliance as a priority.
