Job summary

Tailwind Group, Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a Maintenance Manager for College Town Mankato, a cottage-style student housing community.

The role leads the maintenance team, performs repairs, and partners closely with the Property Manager to ensure operations run smoothly and residents receive exceptional service. The position is full-time, onsite, Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm with occasional after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of building maintenance experience; student housing experience a plus.
• HVAC repair experience required; EPA Level II certificate preferred.
• One+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Pool service knowledge; CPO certification preferred or may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance team and collaborate with the Property Manager to maintain property operations.
• Conduct daily property walks to identify improvements and maintain grounds.
• Perform general repairs in units and common areas (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances).
• Oversee turnover and make-ready process and manage temporary staff/contractors.
• Respond to after-hours emergency issues and on-call duties.
• Monitor maintenance trends and implement preventative maintenance programs.
