Job summary

Mount Holyoke College is hiring a full-time Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness in residential halls, offices, and cultural centers. The role requires following a detailed cleaning program, lifting up to 30 pounds, and some weekend work. Start date is December 14, 2026, with a starting pay of $20.94 per hour.

Join a large Facilities Management team responsible for 2,000,000+ SF across 60+ buildings. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, and tuition benefits.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• Must adhere to a detailed cleaning program.
• Must be willing to work some weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Willing to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning tasks at campus buildings.
• Sweeping, vacuuming and washing floors.
• Emptying waste receptacles.
• Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, mirrors and surfaces.
• Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
• Report safety concerns and maintenance needs.
• Assist with events and summer conferences as needed.
