Job summary

Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA is seeking a part-time Custodian for the 1st shift to maintain classrooms, residence halls, and other facilities. The role reports to the Custodial 1st Shift Supervisor and runs Tue–Sat, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., for 20 hours per week, with a 52-week employment cycle.

The starting pay begins at $20.94 per hour, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, dusting, waste disposal, reporting safety concerns, snow

Qualifications

• Must adhere to a detailed cleaning program.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Flexible for on-call assignments and snow shoveling detail.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• General cleaning tasks at campus buildings.
• Sweeping, vacuuming and washing floors.
• Emptying waste receptacles.
• Cleaning and disinfecting restroom toilets, sinks, countertops, mirrors, showers and high touch surfaces.
• Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
• Communicate building and safety concerns, report need for repair or services.
• Snow removal assignments.
• Additional duties as assigned.
