Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, staff and campus assets across university and hospital settings. You will patrol fixed posts or on foot, check badges, respond to alarms and incidents, and provide directions to visitors.

This role requires the ability to work all shifts, endure various weather conditions, and obtain a Lethal Weapons Certification within 90 days. You will report to the Security Supervisor and support trauma and safety operations on site.

Qualifications

• Complete Security Department training modules and maintain required training.
• Ability to work all shifts and rotate as needed.
• Lethal Weapons Certification to be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Interact with co-workers, visitors and staff per Jefferson values.
• Conduct patrols and verify security by checking badges.
• Respond to calls for service and emergencies promptly.
• Notify supervisor of conditions; document incidents.
• Provide security escorts and assist with campus parking issues.
• Support trauma and fire-safety operations as needed.
• Maintain daily patrol logs and submit reports to supervisors.
