Responsibilities

• Schedules and directs grounds-keeping activities for a particular outlined area of campus. Prioritize the use of assigned equipment to ensure the most efficient and productive use.
• Interviews, hires, trains, schedules, and directs staff; promotes equal opportunity and respect; conducts performance evaluations.
• Maintains records of labor hours, materials, and equipment; ensures timesheets reflect work performed; orders supplies and advises on equipment needs.
• Identifies insect and disease problems on plant material and implements plans to control pests; supports IPM initiatives.
• Coordinates preparation of training programs and trains employees in safe, efficient use of landscape and heavy equipment; ensures on-boarding is completed timely.
