Job summary

Clemson University in Columbia, SC seeks a Regular FTE Staff Building/Grounds maintenance professional to assist with complex repairs across campus facilities. You will operate heavy equipment, perform carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing tasks and help manage grounds and agricultural operations at Sandhill REC.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and related trade training; prior experience with maintenance, safety procedures, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and related trade training or experience.
• Experience with building maintenance tasks across multiple trades is preferred.
• Ability to operate and assist with heavy equipment and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• 40% - Perform complex maintenance and repairs in carpentry, masonry, electricity, HVAC, roof, plumbing and boiler operation.
• 10% - Assist with overall management of agriculture research and extension functions.
• 10% - Clean main office facilities and meeting spaces as directed.
• 40% - Operate and maintain grounds: grass cutting, limb and tree removal, trash pickup, road grading, and related tasks.
