Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to manage landscaping and grounds-keeping operations for a defined campus area. You will lead a maintenance crew, schedule daily tasks, review work orders, and ensure safety and efficiency across the site.

Primary duties include staff supervision and development, record keeping for labor hours and materials, pest management coordination, and on-boarding training for new hires.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and custodial/groundskeeping experience.
• Experience supervising a grounds crew or maintenance staff.
• Ability to read and implement landscape plans.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and direct grounds-keeping activities for a defined campus area.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff; manage performance.
• Maintain labor hours, materials, and equipment records.
• Identify and manage pest-related plant issues and implement IPM plans.
• Coordinate training programs and ensure safe operation of landscape equipment.
