Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to direct a team of groundskeepers and contractors on the Main Campus. You will plan schedules, assign tasks, and oversee maintenance work to meet standards and deadlines.

In this role you will coordinate with other trade areas, provide safety training, manage equipment and supplies, and help develop processes and performance evaluations. A strong background in landscaping and budget awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 7 years of full-time related experience.
• Experience supervising and delegating the work of others.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PC use; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises groundskeeping team and vendors; schedules work.
• Inspects completed work for quality and safety.
• Coordinates with other trades and vendors; prepares cost estimates.
• Maintains safety training and equipment use; trainings.
• Assists in budgeting, cost control, and performance evaluations.
