Job summary

Orange County Rescue Mission seeks a Janitorial and Landscaping Supervisor to oversee campus cleanliness and grounds maintenance. You will supervise program students in janitorial and landscaping duties, while mentoring and modeling leadership in a Christ-centered environment.

The role involves coordinating cleaning and outdoor maintenance, training students in safe practices, and ensuring a welcoming campus appearance across facilities and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily janitorial tasks for program students and ensure cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, offices, and dormitories.
• Oversee landscaping tasks including mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, and general campus grounds upkeep.
• Train students on cleaning techniques, equipment use, and safety standards.
• Create and manage cleaning schedules and checklists for all campus areas.
• Inspect for cleanliness and identify areas for improvement; maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Coordinate cleaning support for room cleanouts and special events; ensure setup and cleanup.
• Power wash concrete surfaces and shampoo carpets as needed for presentation standards.
• Oversee landscaping schedule, assign daily tasks, and manage priorities and student workloads.
• Train students in safe operation of landscaping tools and equipment; enforce safety protocols.
• Model Christ-like servant leadership with hands-on supervision and feedback.
