Job summary

Orange County Rescue Mission is seeking a Janitorial and Landscaping Supervisor to oversee campus cleanliness and outdoor maintenance, while mentoring program students assigned to facilities and grounds duties. The role emphasizes a Christ-centered, safe environment and hands-on supervision.

The position supports operations Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with responsibilities across both janitorial and landscaping tasks to maintain welcoming spaces for residents, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma.
• Experience: 2-3 yrs of job related work experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex documents.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily janitorial tasks by program students, ensuring cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, offices, and dormitories.
• Create and manage cleaning schedules and detailed checklists for all campus areas.
• Train students on cleaning techniques, equipment use and safety standards.
• Perform regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and identify areas for improvement.
• Oversee landscaping tasks, scheduling, and student assignments to ensure campus coverage.
• Train students in safe and effective use of landscaping tools and equipment.
