Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated Food Service Director of Operations for Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. You will advise and participate in the day-to-day operations and financial success of a large multi-unit campus dining location, ensuring contract guidelines, health regulations, and high standards of food quality, freshness, and presentation.

Qualifications

• BS degree preferred.
• Five years of foodservice management experience.
• Higher Education experience in board and retail operations.
• P&L accountability and contract‑managed service experience.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends and cost controls.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
• ServSafe® certification.

Responsibilities

• Formulates budgets and plans for the operation.
• Maintains and implements quality standards across the operation.
• Ensures compliance with regional programs and policies.
• Accounts for accurate reporting for the account.
• Maintains client and customer satisfaction with food quality and service.
• Oversees hiring, training, and staff development.
• Prepares daily, weekly, and financial reports including costs.
• Ensures food safety and health standards.
• Fosters strong client relationships and retention.
• Performs additional duties to support dining operations.
