Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a Campus Service Manager to lead and oversee key outsourced service contracts across the Hyde Park campus. You will collaborate with facilities leadership, vendors, and campus stakeholders to ensure compliant, high-quality, cost-effective services.

You will manage a multi-million dollar service budget, develop SLAs, and coordinate with internal partners to align operations with capital and maintenance goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 5–7 years in facilities or operations management.
• Experience managing large outsourced service contracts.
• Strong knowledge of safety, compliance and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage outsourced service contracts (custodial, elevator, pest control, waste/recycling, window washing).
• Develop and update SLAs, standards, scopes of work, and review proposals/invoices.
• Coordinate inspections with internal staff, risk management, legal, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance.
• Serve as main escalation point for service issues and coordinate corrective actions with vendors.
