Little City on the Main Campus in Palatine, IL is seeking a Facilities Renovation and Repair Specialist to manage construction projects, coordinate with internal leadership, and supervise safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires hands-on work, independent scheduling, and off-site tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 2- or 4-year college or technical degree.
• Minimum of 5 years in the building trades.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must have a current and valid Illinois driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop timetables and cost projections for construction projects.
• Contribute to long-term campus project planning and capital budget input.
• Communicate with Facilities Project Coordinator and VP of Facilities weekly.
• Provide personal hand tools and equipment; coordinate with LC and outside contractors.
• Use CMMS to input requisitions, track work, and create worksheets.
• Ensure all projects comply with Illinois codes and safety regulations.
• Assist in regulatory compliance and quality assurance for facilities.
