Job summary

Little City Foundation in Palatine, IL is seeking a Facilities Renovation and Repair Specialist to oversee construction projects, develop timetables and cost projections, coordinate with the Facilities team and outside contractors, and ensure all work complies with Illinois codes and safety rules.

The role requires inputting purchase requisitions, maintaining project worksheets in CMMS, reading blueprints, and lifting heavy loads while on-site; you must be available 24/7 for urgent issues and

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED or a 2- or 4-year college or technical degree.
• Minimum of 5 years in the building trades and ability to read blueprints.
• Must have a current and valid Illinois driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop timetables and cost projections for construction projects.
• Coordinate with Facilities team and outside contractors to meet objectives.
• Input purchase requisitions, correspond via email, develop spreadsheets, and track work in CMMS.
• Ensure all projects comply with Illinois codes and safety regulations.
• Assist with regulatory compliance and quality assurance for structures.
• Carry a phone and be accessible 24/7 for urgent issues.
