Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a Director of Facilities Operations and Events for the Student & Campus Event Center in Atlanta. You will lead event services, custodial operations, and space management across campus venues, including outdoor settings, with a focus on belonging and community engagement.

The role combines strategic planning, financial oversight, and emergency management, reporting to Division Leadership and collaborating with executives, staff, and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master's Degree in Student Affairs Administration or related field preferred.
• Eight to ten years of job-related experience.
• Valid State of Georgia Driver's License or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Division Leadership to set strategic goals and decisions.
• Anticipate departmental needs for 24/7 operations, guiding custodial and event teams.
• Design and implement strategic plans for facilities, renovations, and improvements.
• Establish and manage operating budgets; oversee procurement and cost analysis.
• Serve as Building Manager for campus facilities communications and emergency support.
• Oversee access control; ensure policy compliance and expressive activity safeguards.
• Provide training and development for staff; enforce safety policies and certifications.
• Develop partnerships with campus units to align with priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
