University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel in Athens seeks a Facilities Manager to lead daily maintenance operations and oversee capital improvement projects in a busy campus setting.

The role requires strong leadership, knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety regulations, and the ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams and outside contractors to ensure reliable, safe facilities for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 8 years of professional experience.
• Preferred certifications in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related fields.
• Knowledge of procurement rules and ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsabilités

• Work with GC Facilities Management on Facilities Maintenance & Capital Project Planning & Implementation.
• Attend Planning and Construction meetings and provide input for long term building maintenance.
• Review Construction Documents and assist contractors during renovations.
• Identify utility modifications and coordinate with external trades for complex repairs.
• Supervise Maintenance Foreman & Workers and provide leadership.
• Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, doors, carpentry, and other trade repairs.
• Purchase and maintain supplies; create accounts payable documentation.
• Record building standards and reference materials; maintain SDS and safety manuals.
