Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a multi-craft Facilities Manager to oversee maintenance and repair of campus buildings and systems. You will set goals, evaluate performance, and coordinate with staff, project teams, engineers, vendors, and customers.

The role requires a technical education, a Georgia driver’s license, and 6–8 years of related experience. A rotating on-call schedule is expected, with salary commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Georgia Driver's License.
  • Six to eight years of job related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a state purchasing card and follow guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate customer service activities for assigned area, including service calls and maintenance.
  • Assure optimal operation of building components and systems in the area.
  • Coordinate work requirements with Facilities units, contractors/vendors, and external resources.
  • Provide estimates and budgets for minor/major projects and events.
  • Coordinate acquisition of required materials.
  • Supervise personnel; schedule and evaluate performance.
  • Participate in recruiting and developing staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
