Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Senior Building Maintenance Supervisor within Student Housing's Facilities Operations and Capital Projects. You will manage a comprehensive maintenance program, respond to service requests, and oversee capital improvement projects across residence halls.

You will direct teams performing plumbing, carpentry, painting, machinery service, electrical maintenance and custodial work, maintain stock, coordinate emergency preparedness, and ensure safety compliance while aligning

Qualifications

High School or equivalent required.
Experience supervising maintenance operations preferred.
Ability to follow safety procedures.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Experience with facility maintenance environments.
Union environment experience desirable.

Responsibilities

Oversee a comprehensive maintenance program including day-to-day service requests, apartment and residence hall prep, and capital projects.
Direct maintenance staff in plumbing, carpentry, painting, machinery service, electrical maintenance and custodial tasks.
Manage call center triage and tracking of repair services.
Maintain stock and distribute maintenance supplies and equipment.
Promote emergency preparedness and response efforts.
