Job summary

Irvine Administration is seeking a Director of Facilities Services to oversee maintenance programs, operations, and related services across multiple campus locations. The role includes P&L responsibility and direct management of building operations, transportation, janitorial, landscaping, and vendor services for affiliated campuses and HQ.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (MBA preferred) and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business, construction management, project management, engineering, or other related field.
• MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs a wide range of facilities services functions including maintenance, operations, skilled trades, and utility services.
• Plans and coordinates preventative maintenance schedules and prioritizes repairs to minimize disruption of academic programs.
• Oversees servicing and corrective repair of maintenance equipment and vehicles.
• Reviews building conditions, furniture installations, finishes, and space utilization to ensure standards.
• Directs maintenance activities for all buildings to optimize labor, equipment efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Manages work order performance and data metrics with simplified systems for staff.
• Conducts facility audits to assess physical condition and determine service and equipment needs.
• Develops and implements programs to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery of services and maintenance of facilities and grounds.
• Ensures quality assurance and continuous improvement of departmental operations and services.

Education
