Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a skilled supervisor for Facilities Management to lead labor crews, coordinate daily work plans, and ensure training and safety protocols are followed across campus facilities.

The role collaborates with multiple departments to support events and campus operations, including building access control and prioritizing maintenance activities. Strong English communication and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
• Ability to understand written job assignments.
• Minimum of two years working experience as a laborer.
• Minimum of two years working experience in a lead or supervisory role.
• Working knowledge of computers (email, word, excel, browsing the internet)
• 1-3 years work as a laborer.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the work of the labor crews.
• Ensure new and existing staff receive proper training.
• Create daily work schedules and work assignments.
• Review and confirm work performed at various stages and upon completion.
• Work closely with departments and campus organizations to provide special event support.
• Lock/unlock various campus buildings.
