Job summary

A.T. Still University on the Mesa, Arizona campus seeks a full-time, non-exempt General Maintenance Assistant to perform semi-skilled and skilled non-licensed work in maintenance, repair, and restoration of university buildings and grounds, including carpentry, landscaping, irrigation, painting, plumbing, flooring, and limited HVAC work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, students and faculty.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 25 feet and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Respond to assigned work orders promptly.
• Inspect buildings and identify maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with vendors when work is contracted.
• Troubleshoot general building system issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
