Job summary

A.T. Still University (ATSU) in Mesa, Arizona, is seeking a full-time General Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep of campus buildings and grounds. You will perform semi-skilled and skilled maintenance tasks to ensure safety and a clean, welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include addressing work orders, inspecting facilities, coordinating with contractors, and troubleshooting various systems. A high school diploma is required, with the ability to work independently and adhere to

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to identify and resolve issues independently or with guidance from supervisors.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, students and faculty.
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently.
Ability to climb ladders up to 25 feet.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
Ability to collaborate with other maintenance staff or contractors.
Ability to interact professionally with customers or occupants.
Willingness to adapt to different tasks and schedules, including weekends or emergencies.
Adherence to safety procedures and instructions.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities

Respond to assigned work orders in a timely manner.
Inspect buildings and identify corrective maintenance needs and ensure equipment is operating correctly.
Coordinate with vendors when work is contracted out.
Troubleshoot general building system issues and problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
