Job summary

A.T. Still University (ATSU) on the Mesa, Arizona campus seeks a full-time General Maintenance Assistant to perform semi-skilled and skilled non-licensed work in maintenance, repair, and restoration of university buildings and grounds.

Tasks include carpentry, landscaping, irrigation, painting, plumbing, flooring, and limited HVAC work. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to work independently or with supervision, clear communication with staff and students, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues independently or with guidance from supervisors.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, students and faculty.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently.
• Willingness to adapt to different tasks and work schedules, including weekends or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Respond to assigned work orders in a timely manner.
• Inspect buildings and identify corrective maintenance needs and ensure equipment is operating correctly.
• Coordinate with vendors when work is contracted out.
• Troubleshoot general building system issues and problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
