Job summary

A.T. Still University (ATSU) is seeking a full-time, non-exempt General Maintenance Assistant on the Mesa, Arizona campus.

This role performs a range of semi-skilled and skilled non-licensed work in maintenance, repair, and restoration of buildings and grounds, including carpentry, landscaping, irrigation, painting, plumbing, flooring, and limited HVAC tasks. Duties include responding to work orders, inspecting facilities, coordinating with vendors, troubleshooting systems, and performing other

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues independently or with guidance from supervisors.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, students and faculty.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods, and lift and carry heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Respond to assigned work orders in a timely manner.
• Inspect buildings and identify corrective maintenance needs and ensure equipment is operating correctly.
• Coordinate with vendors when work is contracted out.
• Troubleshoot general building system issues and problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
