Job summary

HES Facilities in Albany, GA is seeking a Director of Facility Services (Operations) to lead campus maintenance, custodial and grounds programs. The role oversees building and grounds upkeep, safety standards, and service contracts to support student and staff facilities.

The position requires 3–5 years in facilities maintenance, strong leadership, and strategic planning skills. It is a full-time, 1st/2nd shift role with daily operations on university campuses.

• 3–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Oversees maintenance of campus buildings, grounds and general services.
• Provides leadership to ensure quality facilities meeting needs of students and staff.
• Recruits, trains and develops staff in safety requirements and job duties.
• Manages work orders workflow for timely completion.
• Conducts performance evaluations and develops improvement plans.
• Maintains a general assessment of campus facilities and plant operations.
• Develops and implements a Preventative Maintenance Plan and a Deferred Maintenance list.
• Manages service contracts and vendors to meet university priorities.
• Prepares annual budgets for assigned areas and monitors expenditures.
