Job summary

Arizona State University is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the Facilities Management team at the Tempe campus. The estimator will assess project costs, prepare accurate estimates, and support planning and budgeting for facilities management initiatives, collaborating with operations and project teams to ensure precise cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in the area or an equivalent combination of experience and/or training.
• Experience in facilities management or related construction projects.
• Experience reading architectural and engineering drawings.
• Experience with estimating software and BIM is preferred.
• Ability to develop cost estimates aligned with industry standards and university guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with facilities teams to gather information for scope, estimates and schedules.
• Analyze project documents to determine material, labor and equipment costs.
• Review contractor quotes for completeness and compare costs to developed estimates.
• Perform field site visits to verify conditions and document findings.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for facilities management projects.
