Rice University seeks an Events & Venue Manager for the BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC) and O'Connor Engineering & Science (OES) buildings to coordinate reservations, conferences, and educational programs. You will partner with departments, staff, researchers, and external partners to deliver seamless event services from inquiry to post-event review.

• Bachelor's degree required; related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• 4+ years of professional experience in event management, project management, hospitality or operations.
• Experience with event-management systems and reporting tools.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the primary contact for venue reservations and events across BRC and OES.
• Partner with clients and stakeholders to develop event plans aligning with policy and facilities.
• Manage the full event life cycle: scheduling, logistics, vendor coordination, and day-of-event execution.
• Oversee room reservations, calendars, and space-utilization activities.
• Coordinate through TRIRIGA and other systems to track work requests and activity.
• Prepare event-related reports and analytics to support planning and continuous improvement.
