Job summary

University of Vermont seeks an Event & Scheduling Coordinator to manage space scheduling, coordinate campus events, and support event services teams. You will be the primary contact for space scheduling and inquiries, interpreting policies and guiding departments and student organizations.

Work with Event Production, Technical teams, and UES Coordination to support events including commencements and orientations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of customer service, scheduling, or event-related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels and with varying skill sets and backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Valid driver''s license to operate University vehicles.
  • Occasional early mornings/evenings/weekends to support events.
  • Commitment to workplace diversity, inclusivity, and a high-quality customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate scheduling of spaces, services, and equipment for university events.
  • Serve as the main contact for space scheduling and event inquiries.
  • Interpret policies to determine event eligibility and feasibility.
  • Meet with campus event planners to provide planning and logistical support.
  • Collaborate with Event Production, Technical teams, and UES Coordination on scheduling needs.
  • Coordinate aspects of signature events (commencement, orientation, UVM Weekend).
  • Analyze and report on utilization of event spaces.
  • Operate university vehicles as needed to attend meetings and events.
