Job summary

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology invites applications for the position of Events Manager within the Union & Student Activities Office. This role coordinates reservations and event operations, working with internal and external clients to ensure a seamless campus and community event experience.

The Events Manager leads event logistics, room setups, audiovisuals, catering, and other needs while maintaining inventories and supervising student staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business, communications, marketing or related field is required.
• Preference for a bachelor’s degree in business, communication, or marketing.
• Two to three years of experience in event planning, scheduling, facility operations, or venue management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate reservations and event operations for the Student Union and Campus Chapel.
• Manage external contracts, insurance documentation, and risk management for facility use.
• Assist with recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervision of student employees; provide on-site leadership during events.
• Process invoices, check requests, and purchasing card reconciliations; manage external contracts and maintain event-related information online.
