Job summary

The University of Arizona College of Humanities seeks an Events Planner to lead planning and coordination of major events across campus, including festivals, convocation, homecoming, and outreach activities. The role partners with the dean, Marketing, Alumni Relations, Development, and academic units to ensure smooth execution.

The position requires on-campus presence with setup and breakdown duties, and occasional evening/weekend hours. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
  • Ability to operate A/V technology.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of annual and special events from conception through follow-up.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to plan, schedule, and execute event details (location, registration, catering, entertainment, tech, staffing).
  • Maintain calendars and ensure tasks and timelines are communicated across departments.
