Job summary

Utah State University’s Venue Services is seeking a part-time student to manage and update the SwitchBase event database and assist with Phase II implementation across campus. You will train peers, support campus partners, and provide on-site event coverage as needed.

Ideal candidates are organized, quick learners with strong communication and customer service skills, able to collaborate with university departments, service partners, and third-party contacts while balancing class schedules.

Qualifications

• Current USU student or eligible campus employee.
• Experience with digital tools, databases, or online platforms.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Regularly update the Venue Services SwitchBase event database.
• Support Phase II SwitchBase implementation across Office of Events venues.
• Provide on-site event support using SwitchBase and document issues.
• Develop training materials and deliver training sessions for users across campus.
• Coordinate with third-party contacts and USU service partners.
• Manage lost & found inventory and maintain accurate records.
• Follow up on work orders and communicate updates.
• Assist with estimate and billing responsibilities as needed.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holiday hours as needed.
