Job summary

The JCC East Bay is seeking an Event Services Manager to lead planning and execution of events across campus venues. You will manage inquiries, contract details, and client relationships from initial contact through post-event review, ensuring a high-quality guest experience.

In this role you will coordinate with internal teams and partners, supervise event staff, and oversee vendor agreements, licenses, and safety procedures. Evening and weekend availability is required to match event needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years of event management experience.
• Experience supervising staff, contractors, or volunteers.
• Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with event management software and standard office tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for event inquiries from planning to execution.
• Produce and manage events from inquiry to completion with quality guest experience.
• Generate new sales leads through marketing and networking.
• Oversee contracts, deposits, payments, and obligations.
• Coordinate with vendors, space planning, and licenses (including liquor).
• Supervise staff/volunteers and troubleshoot logistics on-site.
