Job summary

Edlavitch DC Jewish Community Center (EDCJCC) in Washington, DC is seeking a part-time, seasonal Event Assistant to support external events. Qualifications

• High school diploma or relevant work experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years hospitality or client services experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Keen attention to detail and organization skills.
• Available to support events on evenings and weekends.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the event point-person for assigned events.
• Ensure contracted services and equipment are confirmed.
• Assist with event set-ups and breakdowns per room layouts.
• Greet clients and escort them to event spaces.
• Run basic A/V (sound, lights, streaming, projections).
• Coordinate with clients and staff to ensure smooth events.
• Ensure adherence to venue rules during events.
• Work with Event Manager to meet space needs.
